My Final Piece
Doing my final design was a lot harder than I originally planned and I didn't think through it at all. My design is more on the arty side of things and not the photography side. In which I regret massively.
My idea for this design was Breast Cancer Awareness. I thought of this idea as it's Breast Cancer Awareness month and I have known people personally who have had Breast Cancer.
I decided to make it by hand so it would give it a better look, though I deeply regret my decision.
My background contains pictures that I took with my camera. All the images are in a shade of pink. I used feather borers, cups, napkins, sweets and other objects. To get the pink to stand out I had to make sure that I had the perfect lighting as one bit of shading could make the image two shades darker than the original colour.
After I had made sure that I had a perfect background I went onto the ribbon. The ribbon was cut out of card then had paint swatches glued onto them.
This is where it became an art project. I glued on many pink paint swatches and continued to do this until it was fully covered. After I had done the ribbon I then went onto adding some 'inspirational lyrics' which just turned out to be some lyrics that had a meaning.
The center of the ribbon (yellow part) was suppose to have a friend of mine who had gotten breast cancer but due to requests she had asked me not to include her into my work. Which I respected, though as I found this out at last minute I couldn't include someone else, so as you can see, I have left it blank.
My design was suppose to be a lot more spontaneous but it wasn't. I think this was down to lack of time and me trying to be more creative with my final piece, when in fact I just made myself hate it. If I could go back and change what I choose to do, I would and I would make sure that I enjoyed doing it as-well.
